EKU Advocates

We are looking for Advocates for the 2021-2022 academic year! EKU Student Conduct Advocates ("Advocates") have 2 primary roles:

1. Advocating for, and mentoring to, students involved in the conduct process

2. Outreach to the University community

Additionally, Advocates will:

- Meet with students individually before, during, and after hearings

- Interpret University policy

- Promote the values of honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility

- Provide outreach through social media, provide presentations to small groups 

What are the benefits of becoming an EKU Advocate?

There are many benefits of being an EKU Advocate! Advocates have the unique opportunity to be a part of the University student conduct system. Advocates will also mentor students going through the conduct process. They help provide outreach education to the University community. Advocates are vital to the mission of Student Conduct and Community Standards!

- Making and strengthening connections throughout the University

What are expectations of Advocates?

Trainings will be provided each semester to ensure that Advocates feel prepared in their roles. This is a year-long committment. Advocates will meet with students at mutually agreed upon times. They may also be asked to attend a hearing in support of a student. Advocates will participate in various outreach events throughout the academic year.

Applications remain open in an ongoing basis. We continue to accept applications here. Once your application has been reviewed, you may be requested to interview at the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

Requirements to apply are:

- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

- At least 30 institutional credit hours
