EKU Student Advocates
If you are a student going through the disciplinary process, we encourage you to utilize an Advocate. The EKU Student Conduct Advocates have been specially trained to be a valuable resource to you. Please read their biographies below, and contact the person you wish to be your Advocate directly.
"I am a junior studying Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. I am originally from the Kansas City area but have lived in Kentucky for over ten years. I am passionate about helping and leading others. I stay involved on campus by serving as the vice president for EKU’s collegiate chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) and recently was an intern with the Student Life office for EKU Big E Welcome. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, getting coffee with friends, listening to music, and am continuing to perfect the perfect pie crust recipe."
"My name is Ashley Shofner and I am a junior Public Health student here at Eastern. I am from Nelson County, KY, and graduated from a very small high school. Here on campus I am involved in my College as a CHS ambassador, am a Student Advocate, the secretary of the Student Alumni Ambassadors, am a member of EKU's Honors Program, and I work in the Admissions Office as a tour guide. I enjoy cooking, reading, binging movies and TV shows, and getting to know/help people on campus!"
"Hello! My name is Loren Schuler and this is my second year as a part of the Student Judicial Committee. I am a Junior and a Business Management major here at EKU. I am also involved in the Student Activities Council and Dance Theater on campus. I enjoy binge watching Netflix and Hulu and listening to music (especially Shawn Mendes)! I am looking forward to continuing as a Student Advocate this year and hope to help as many students as I can! Go Colonels!"
"My name is Alexis, and I am a third year student here at EKU. Currently I am majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and would like to attend Law School after graduation. I enjoy hiking, camping, and travelling. I am originally from Ohio, but have enjoyed making Kentucky home!"
"My name is Elizabeth Meyer and I am a sophomore medical laboratory science major. This year is my first year as a Resident Advisor and a Student Conduct Advocate and I absolutely love what I do. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, and playing sports. I play Ultimate Frisbee on the Lexington co-ed club team and get to travel to places like Chicago and Nashville to play in tournaments."
"My name is Samuel Rossi and I’m a majoring in history with a minor in political science. In my free time I enjoy doing various activities outdoors or just chilling out and watching Netflix."
